And good riddance. The World Meteorological Organization has retired both names from its rotating list of Atlantic storm names because of the death and destruction caused by the storms in 2022.
The 2025 Atlantic hurricane season begins June 1 and runs through Nov. 30. Hurricanes are named following a rotating list established by the World Meteorological Organization.
