MERCEDES, Texas (ValleyCentral) — Sunday was the final, and perhaps most emotional day of the Rio Grande Valley Livestock Show and Rodeo for students competing in the livestock competition.

Garcia says there are now more than a dozen similar groups across South Texas. The riders will spend the night at the Mercedes Boot Company and then take part in the livestock show parade on Saturday.
