The primary suspect was arrested in Washington, DC, and is in custody, according to the US Secret Service. USSS said in a Sunday evening news release it made a second arrest in Miami in connection with the theft. The agency said that person “is believed to be a co-conspirator” with the primary defendant.

Two people were arrested in connection to the Easter Sunday theft of Homeland Security Secretary Kristi Noem's purse, authorities said.

The suspect accused of stealing a pricey handbag from Department of Homeland Security Secretary Kristi Noem in Washington, D.C., was also arrested for a similar theft in New York City earlier in the year,
