The James Beard Foundation will host its biennial Chef Action Summit from April 6-8 at the Renaissance Asheville Downtown, 31 Woodfin St. in partnership with Explore Asheville. The event is free.

ST. LOUIS — The James Beard Foundation announced the 2025 restaurant and chef award semifinalists on Wednesday, and seven St. Louis restaurants and chefs made the cut, receiving national attention.

Chef Mateo Mackbee said he was "floored" by the recognition and hopes it can attract more interest in St. Joseph.
