On Friday, the San Francisco 49ers signed veteran Ross Dwelley to a one-year deal, bringing the seven-year tight end back into the fold. Dwelley previously played with the 49ers from 2018-2023 before a short stint with the Atlanta Falcons in 2024.

George Kittle is set up to finish his career with the San Francisco 49ers after inking a four-year extension with the organization that takes him through his age-36 season. However, days before he came to terms on that extension, one club tried to pry the star tight end out of the Bay Area.

The San Francisco 49ers announced a contract extension has been reached with George Kittle, keeping the tight end in the Bay Area through the 2029 season.
