Just a little more than one month after he signed a three-year, $31.5 million contract with the Denver Broncos during NFL free agency, linebacker Dre Greenlaw has suffered a "serious quad injury," according to a report from Jennifer Lee Chan of NBC Sports Bay Area.

Linebacker Dre Greenlaw does not have any All-Pro or Pro Bowl selections to his name. When the media and neutral fans talked about the San Francisco 49ers over the last five years, several players were often mentioned before him.

The newly acquired Broncos linebacker will be forced to rehab for several weeks. He is expected to be ready for the regular season.
