Northern Irish prodigy Anderson will oversee all of the fashion brand's collections, an unprecedented position that has only been held by Christian Dior himself.

Anderson’s arrival has been the subject of front row gossip for a year. Maria Grazia Chiuri, the outgoing creative director of Dior womenswear, was still officially in her role last week when she took a bow at the end of her show in Rome.

The former Loewe head will be the first designer since Christian Dior to oversee the maison’s women’s wear, men’s wear, and couture.
