Steve McMichael, a star defensive tackle on the Chicago Bears’ famed 1985 Super Bowl championship team, has died following a battle with ALS. He was 67.

Steve McMichael, who helped anchor the Chicago Bears' dominant 46 Defense during the 1980s, died due to complications from ALS.

The brash Texan, affectionately nicknamed Mongo, was a five-time all-pro and later became a professional wrestler. He was recently inducted to the Hall of Fame.
