A 35-pound pipe hit and damaged a car in Portland, Maine, on Wednesday, according to the Portland Police Department.

Police initially thought a 35-pound metal pipe that shattered the rear window and dented the liftgate of a car parked on the Maine State Pier in Portland came from an airplane, but the Federal Aviation Administration discovered that was not the case.

Police in Portland, Maine say that a metal piece of pipe that fell on and damaged a parked car this week may have literally fallen out of the sky.
