LAS VEGAS – Jordan Walsh delivered 17 points to lead the Boston Celtics to an 87-78 win over the Los Angeles Lakers in the NBA 2K26 Summer League at Thomas and Mack Center on Thursday evening.

The Celtics (4-1) had 24 assists on their 37 field goals, with Isaiah Wong leading the way with 18 points on 6-of-11 shooting and six assists. The 24-year-old got into 20 games last season with the Hornets and averaged 6.0 points in 13 minutes.

Hayden Gray, who led the NCAA in steals last year and was a member of the Summer League roster, is signing a contract with the Celtics’ G League affiliate.

The Celtics stayed in control for the entire second half, pushing their lead up to double digits for the entire fourth quarter on their way to the comfortable win. The victory improves Boston to 3-1 in Las Vegas with one game looming in the consolation round this weekend.

Following his ejection, the forward apologized to Celtics GM Brad Stevens for getting tossed. Joe Mazzulla loves that kind of fire, and he made sure that Walsh knew that. Still, he understands that he can't be getting tossed from games. That hurts his team when he's not out there.

Nevertheless, Boston is expected to continue wheeling and dealing throughout the summer. Anfernee Simons and Georges Niang, two players the Celtics acquired via trades this summer, could be re-routed before the start of the season.
