Alaska Airlines is canceling more than a dozen flights a day as tariffs hinder its ability to accept delivery of new aircraft, according to the carrier.

SEATTLE — Alaska Air delayed the delivery of two planes from Brazilian manufacturer Embraer last month and trimmed its summer schedule, citing the “uncertain economic environment” and the financial impact of tariffs on its supply chain.

Alaska Airlines is planning to start its first flights to Europe from Seattle, which will add Rome as a destination.
