International Airlines Group has ordered 53 new Airbus and Boeing aircraft for its long-haul fleet after posting a first-quarter profit of €198 million on Friday.

IAG reported a €198 million Q1 profit, up €130 million from last year, with strong demand driving a 9.6% revenue increase to €7 billion. The company has also ordered 53 new aircraft.
