New North Carolina football coach Bill Belichick is meeting with his ACC football peers for the first time as an equal during the league’s annual meetings this week — a break from an at-times tumultuous spring.

The UNC athletic department said Miller died Sunday in Bethlehem, Pennsylvania. No cause of death was given. An athletic department spokesman said Miller was in hospice care and dealing with medical issues for some time.

The conference occupies the middle ground with few true contenders and a majority of middling teams hoping just to make a bowl game.
