The Lower Paxton Township Board of Supervisors voted to continue having its July 4 fireworks show at Koons Park despite two years of disruptions and arrests. The supervisors voted unanimously to keep the fireworks show at Koons Park in Linglestown versus moving it to George Park during the Tuesday evening town hall meeting.

Big Rapids Mayor Fred Guenther said he agreed that it is awkward for city staff to go out and fund raise, and they need someone from the community to step up and take on the project.
