General Motors Co. will voluntarily recall certain trucks and SUVs after nearly 900,000 vehicles were investigated for engine failure in January, the company confirmed in a statement.

The recall follows a January investigation​ by U.S. auto safety regulators into reports of engine failure in certain GM vehicles.

After widespread engine failures and an NHTSA investigation, GM is recalling all 2021-24 full-size pickups and SUVs equipped with the 6.2L V8.
