The investigation was launched in August after Wisconsin Watch, an online-based news outlet, reported in June that the state's highest court planned to hear a lawsuit from Planned Parenthood of Wisconsin asking the court to declare a constitutional right to abortion access.

Investigators concluded in a report released Wednesday that the leak of a Wisconsin Supreme Court abortion order last year was likely deliberate, but they were unable to determine who was responsible.

Wisconsin’s Supreme Court has a new Chief Justice. Ann Walsh Bradley began her term as chief justice of the Wisconsin Supreme Court Thursday. She was elected by fellow members of the court. Bradley did not seek re-election this year and will serve as Chief Justice until June 30 th, when her term on the court expires.
