Before then, a lucky lottery ticket holder in Illinois took home a $344 million jackpot on March 25, while another lucky person hit the Mega Millions jackpot on Jan. 17.

The Mega Millions jackpot for Friday’s lottery drawing has climbed to an estimated $60 million, with a cash option of $26.9 million. The winning numbers were: 38, 40, 60, 62 and 70. The Mega Ball was 9. No one across the country hit Tuesday’s $50 million jackpot. A second-prize, $2 million ticket was sold in Washington state.
