Police have confirmed to PEOPLE that a suspect attempted to intrude the grounds of Windsor Castle on Sunday, June 1.

An intruder has broken into the grounds of Windsor Castle near Princess Kate and Prince William's home. A man in his 30s sparked a security scare at Windsor Castle on Sunday after climbing over a wall to gain access to the restricted grounds.

Princess Kate has returned to work this week in Windsor just days after a security scare. The Princess of Wales, 43, held an Early Years Meeting at Windsor Castle on Wednesday, according to the Court Circular.
