According to CNN's Antena 3 channel, Jean-Claude Van Damme found himself at the heart of a scandal after reports of his involvement in a case relating to human trafficking and organized prostitution.

Van Damme, known for his roles in the film Double Impact and most recently in The Gardener, was brought up in the case after one of the alleged victims came forward, according to reports.
