Universal Pictures ‘ highly anticipated Jurassic World Rebirth has roared to a commanding $147.3 million USD in its first five days at the North American box office, dominating the extended July Fourth holiday weekend. Opening on Wednesday, July 2nd, the film quickly established itself as a formidable summer hit, securing the top spot.

Jurassic World Rebirth, the latest installment of the Universal Pictures dinosaur franchise, scored the top spot in theaters over the five-day Fourth of July holiday, grossing $147.3 million in the US and Canada despite middling reviews from critics.

“Jurassic World” was missing from IMAX screens domestically (due to a commitment to continue showing “F1”), but it thrived on the premium large format screens where it played. One of those options was Dolby Cinema, where it made nearly $8 million from only 167 screens in five days.
