Former NFL player Shannon Sharpe has settled a $50 million sexual assault lawsuit brought against him this year by an unnamed woman represented by Houston attorney Tony Buzbee, NBC Sports reported.

It appears that Shannon Sharpe can now close this highly controversial chapter of his life.

However, the former NFL star’s current lawyer claimed he tried to settle out of court for around $10 million before he took over as his attorney.
