Pharmaceutical company AvKare has issued a voluntary recall on several of its over-the-counter products for dry and irritated eyes, citing regulatory "deviations" identified during an audit by the Food and Drug Administration .

The FDA and AvKare have reported a recall of eye care products, including drops and artificial tears, from BRS Analytical Service.

A pharmaceutical distributor issued an urgent notice about a voluntary recall for five over-the-counter eye care products over concerns with sterility.
