A day after directing a CID investigation into the alleged misuse of official privileges by state police officers in a gold smuggling case, the Karnataka government withdrew its order on Wednesday.

BENGALURU: The Karnataka high court on Saturday rejected the bail petitions of actress Harshavardhini Ranya Rao and Tarun Konduru Raju, the first and second accused in the gold smuggling case.
