The Big Ten has announced their awards for the 2024-25 regular season, showcasing the top players in the Big Ten throughout the 2024-25 season, that saw the Michigan State Spartans win a conference championship.

Michigan State senior guard Jaden Akins received two All-Big Ten awards on Tuesday -- Third Team and All-Defensive Team. Akins had to step into a new role this season, one that carried a lot of responsibility with him being the longest-tenured Spartan.

In 30 years as Michigan State’s head coach, Izzo owns a career record of 733-300, with his 360 Big Ten wins — and counting — the most by a coach in conference history. Izzo’s 11th conference title tied Indiana’s Bob Knight and Purdue’s Ward “Piggy” Lambert for the most in Big Ten history.

Braden Smith of Purdue was named the Associated Press Big Ten player of year on Tuesday, Michigan State's Tom Izzo the coach of the year and Wisconsin's John Tonje the newcomer of the year. Smith continued the Boilermakers' hold on the top individual honor after Zach Edey won it the past two seasons.
