Lionel Messi and Inter Miami are going through a bit of a rough patch with a series of underwhelming performances in recent matches. Inter Miami faced a crushing 3-0 defeat against Orlando City in their last Major League Soccer clash on May 18 at Chase Stadium.

Pressure was already mounting on captain Lionel Messi and head coach Javier Mascherano to turn things around before the match against Orlando, but the Herons' funk only worsened on Sunday. Inter Miami has now conceded at least three goals in five of its last six matches in all competitions.

Lionel Messi isn’t happy right now. After Inter Miami was routed 3-0 by Orlando on Sunday night and fell to 1-5-1 in its last seven matches across all competitions, the eight-time Ballon d’Or winner and 2022 World Cup champion told Apple TV that it’s imperative for the team to stick together.
