What began as a dream weekend for Lewis Hamilton at the 2025 Chinese Grand Prix turned into a nightmare following his disqualification from Sunday's race.

Lewis Hamilton created an unwanted piece of history after the seven-time world champion was disqualified from the Chinese Grand Prix for a technical infringement on his Ferrari. It was an encouraging start to the weekend for Hamilton, who claimed his first victory for Ferrari on Saturday by winning the Chinese Grand Prix Sprint.

The Ferrari star pulled back a slightly more positive result from Q2 and Q3 meaning he lined up in P5 for lights out at the Chinese Grand Prix on Sunday. Hamilton failed to improve on the P5 start on Sunday and even swapped places with team-mate Charles Leclerc during the race due to his slower form.
