The Cleveland Guardians are a team that could get aggressive on the trade market as they compete with division rival Detroit Tigers.

CLEVELAND, Ohio — Carlos Santana entered play Sunday having reached base safely in 13 straight games since Game 1 of a doubleheader against Boston on April 26. The 16-year major league veteran was hitting .293 with a pair of home runs, 12 RBI and an .878 OPS in that stretch.

Rocchio was handed the starting shortstop position out of spring training, but in 35 games has hit just .165 with six errors and -1.0 bWAR.

There's no secret that the Cleveland Guardians ' first baseman struggled at the plate during April. Even though Santana had a pair of home runs, he also hit .213/.304/.281 with an OPS of .585 during the month. However, this is all normal. The Guardians expected this when they signed the veteran during the offseason.

“So, Kolby Allard can pitch. He gives us protection with length, but he also gives us another look out of the bullpen that is different than anything else we have. He’s a strike throwing left-hander with four or five pitches and that’s not easy to hit coming out of the bullpen.”
