An Alaska Army National Guard helicopter crew found the body of a cruise ship passenger Thursday night after she went for a hike near Juneau.

Marites Buenafe, of Kentucky, was reported missing Tuesday afternoon when she did not return to the cruise ship Norwegian Bliss, according to the Alaska State Troopers.

Marites Buenafe, originally from Kentucky, told her family she had disembarked from the Norwegian Bliss for a hike.
