Djokovic retired hurt in his Australian Open semi-final against Daniil Medvedev after struggling with a muscle tear in his upper leg, having been in obvious discomfort throughout the opening set.

Djokovic has showered the Scot with praise for his coaching efforts and appears keen to continue the arrangement, but Murray was tight-lipped, saying: “Me and Novak agreed that after the tournament we would speak. We’ll do that.”

After his defeat to Germany’s Alexander Zverev, Novak Djokovic stated that the future of his partnership with coach Andy Murray remains uncertain but promised to discuss the matter with the Briton soon.
