Patrick Schwarzenegger has expressed interest in starring in Luca Guadagnino's new film adaptation of 'American Psycho'. The novel, previously adapted into a film with Christian Bale, portrays an investment banker leading a double life as a serial killer.

That includes original American Psycho star Chloë Sevigny—still considered, along with Zoë Kravitz, to be one of movie-making’s top performers whose name you have to copy-and-paste because the e with the umlaut over it is hard to remember how to type—who apparently pitched herself to Guadagnino to reprise her role as Jean,

Guadagnino’s “American Psycho” was first announced back in October of 2024. Scott Z. Burns is set to pen the script. The film will reportedly not be a remake of Mary Harron’s original cult classic, but an entirely new adaptation of Easton Ellis’ 1991 novel. Lionsgate is set to release the film.
