Senate Minority Leader Chuck Schumer on Wednesday boasted that the Trump administration had rescinded its freeze after an “outcry across America” put political pressure on the White House.
The White House had said that the funding freeze wouldn’t affect programs that send money to individual people, including Social Security, Medicare, food stamps, student loans and scholarships.
