It's a short-lived pain that is often described as pressure or squeezing. Chronic angina occurs predictably due to exertion or emotional stress, and typically doesn't last longer than a few minutes.

In most cases, neck pain occurs due to a minor injury. But new, worsening, or constant neck pain could be a symptom of cancer, especially if a person has other cancer symptoms, such as a lump.
