STOUGHTON, MA — Although no date has been set to cut the ribbon, the new Stoughton Public Library is nearing completion, according to library director Pat Basler.
Stoughton Public Library’s 2014 Summer Reading Program has been a huge success. The "Fizz, Boom, Read" themed program for children had more than 600 participants this year.
Stoughton was one of six communities asked to resubmit construction grant applications by Jan. 19 to the Massachusetts Board of Library Commissioners, which is considering 30 grant requests in all.
The library is hosting a free 90-minute citizenship class each week for the next 10 weeks.
