Stephen Curry scored a game-high 31 points and the Golden State Warriors overcame a major rebounding deficit to beat the Houston Rockets in Game 1 of their first-round Western Conference playoff series.

The Rockets often just looked sloppy against a Warriors defense that was the best in the NBA after the All-Star break: Houston shot 20.7% from 3-point range and had 17 turnovers. They left points all over the court, shooting just 11-of-20 (55%) from the free throw line.
