A student airlifted from near the peak of Mount Fuji returned to the slope and was rescued for a second time just four days later, authorities said.

Authorities in Japan have rescued the same climber from the slopes of Mount Fuji twice in the space of a week.

A 27-year-old male student from China was rescued twice from Japan’s Mount Fuji within a span of four days after he reportedly returned to the mountain to retrieve his cell phone.
