Shein and Temu goods might not be so cheap anymore. Starting today, the U.S. will start collecting import fees on small packages from China, much of which comes from Chinese e-commerce sites.

The Chinese web retailers on Friday hiked prices to offset a 120% tariff that their goods will be subject to with the May 2 end of the de minimis exemption, which has allowed retailers to import goods worth less than $800 into the US without paying tariffs.

While that spells higher costs for U.S. shoppers, it also means pain for the army of Chinese firms that supply Shein and Temu. Reuters reporter Casey Hall visited some of those companies on a trip to Guangzhou in southern China:
