A new wildfire was reported today at 11 p.m. in San Diego County. Elmonte Fire has been burning on private land. At this time, there is no data on the containment status of the fire and the cause has yet to be determined.

The Henderson Fire sparked shortly before 6 p.m. on Friday, near the intersection of Henderson Road and Pala Mission Road in San Diego County, according to Cal Fire. The fire has already burned nearly 200 acres and is 5% contained, Cal Fire said. The cause of the fire is under investigation.

Fire crews are battling a growing brush fire in northern San Diego County, with evacuation orders and warnings in place for nearby residents.
