Paul Revere was a Bostonian, a silversmith, an artist, a husband, a father, and a messenger for the Sons of Liberty, and on April 18, 1775, he made a famous ride.
It was part of their heritage. Revere was part of Boston’s Committee of Safety and the Sons of Liberty, whose leaders were Dr. Joseph Warren, John Hancock and Samuel Adams.
From there, Revere made the legendary ride to Lexington to warn patriot leaders John Hancock and Samuel Adams of the impending British raid, roughly a 13-mile journey.
