Yolanda Marodi, who is suspected in the slaying of her wife, a Cal Fire captain, pleaded guilty in 2004 to voluntary manslaughter in the fatal stabbing of her then-husband.

Marodi, 49, a captain with the California Department of Forestry and Fire Protection (Cal Fire), was found at her Ramona residence with multiple stab wounds on the night of Feb. 17, after deputies responded to a call for an assault with a deadly weapon, according to a statement from the San Diego County Sheriff’s Office.

Marodi, the fire captain for the Riverside County Fire Department, was found with multiple stab wounds, according to the San Diego Sheriff's Office. Marodi, a public servant for over 30 years, was off-duty when the alleged attack happened Monday.
