Capcom has been on a hot streak in recent years, having released a number of games that have broken back-to-back records for their series and for Capcom as a whole. One of those games was the Resident Evil 4 remake,

Of course, Capcom already casually confirmed Resident Evil 9 was in development last summer - with Resident Evil 7 director Koshi Nakanishi back at the helm. But details of Resident Evil 9 are otherwise scarce - we don't even know if Resident Evil 9, or IX, will be its title, though today's apparent teaser seems to suggest this may be the case.

Back in 2023 Capcom showed up on our phones and computers in a big trenchoat, opened up shop, and declared "whatya buying?" to the world. It turns out the answer for a lot of people was the Resident Evil 4 Remake, which today has sold over 10 million copies worldwide. That's a lot!
