The fire was reported at Ted Williams Parkway at Pomerado Road early Monday afternoon.  People were being asked to evacuate in the area of Wilsey Way.

The fire started around 8:55 a.m. near Bernardo Center Drive and Camino del Norte, according to San Diego Fire-Rescue.

The fire was reported just after 1 p.m. on Monday near Ted Williams Parkway and Pomerado Rd. and quickly spread near homes.
