The Twins are a little over a week into the 2025 season, and things haven't exactly gone to plan so far. They got off to a very ugly 0-4 start to the year, then bounced back with a couple comfortable wins over the White Sox before dropping Thursday's home opener against the Astros.

Pablo López’s seven innings of one-run ball against the White Sox on April 2 was the Twins’ lone start of more than five innings. In their other eight games, the starters have combined for an 8.18 ERA, allowing 30 earned runs in 33 innings and failing to complete five innings five times.
Thursday will mark the first-ever Opening Day matchup against interleague foes St. Louis Cardinals and Minnesota Twins. It will also feature a head-to-head pitching battle against close friends Sonny Gray and Pablo López.
