Michigan State announced Thursday that it is seeking a new athletic director and Haller is leaving the university.

Growing up in East Lansing, Mich., Haller attended Michigan State from 1988 to 1991. He was involved in football and track and field. From 1992-95, he played as a cornerback in the NFL for the Pittsburgh Steelers, the Cleveland Browns, and the Carolina Panthers.

After less than four years on the job, Alan Haller is out as Michigan State’s athletic director.
