The structure is enormous and features a five-star hotel, shopping mall and car park capable of holding over a thousand cars.

Facing the mosque’s main entrance is the centrepiece, the monumental Makkah Royal Clock Tower, the fourth tallest building in the world. Makkah is an alternative spelling of the city’s name.
