A patrol car with the California Highway Patrol was involved in a crash Tuesday morning on Interstate 80 in the Loomis area of Placer County, officials said.

The northerly extension of North Union Road north of Shady Place will be widened to four lanes before the first of 455 proposed homes are sold.
