On Thursday at 6:37 a.m. a high wind warning was issued by the National Weather Service in effect until 10 p.m. for Grande Ronde Valley.

The warning in effect until Thursday night says wind gusts will be as strong as 40 mph to 55 mph with possible snow accumulations of as much as 6 inches in the Keweenaw Peninsula, and the eastern and western cities of the Upper Peninsula. The NWS said to expect significant driving snow.
