The complete Hot Loop hike near Sedona is a 22-mile outing for expert hikers. This 6-mile bite of it has great views and is manageable for day hikers.

Big Springs Interpretive Trail is one of my favorite family-friendly trails in Island Park, Idaho. It's where I love to take my children for a beautiful afternoon adventure.

Along this moderately challenging trail are rock formations, spectacular mountains, desert, city views, and petroglyphs etched into rocks.
