Six institutions would receive funds through the endowment: Anderson University, Clemson University, Furman University, Greenville Technical College, North Greenville University and USC-Upstate.

USC-Upstate and Greenville Technical College attended the press conference, which was held Wednesday, two days before the Travelers Rest Planning Commission holds a public hearing on the proposal.
