In a social media post from the Florence County’s Emergency Management, the deputy has been identified as Florence County Sheriff’s Deputy Nate Ansay.
Deputy Nathaniel “Nate” Ansay, 24, died Tuesday from injuries sustained in a motor vehicle accident on U.S. Highway 301 near Effingham. The South Carolina Highway Patrol is investigating the crash.
