Two teenagers have been arrested in the fatal shooting of 17-year-old student Cayden Morgan Casanova, Charlotte-Mecklenburg Police said Friday. Cayden was shot in a car during a robbery attempt in the 8700 block of Hollow Creek Circle just after 4 p.m. Jan. 18, according to a CMPD news release. Medic pronounced him dead at the scene, police said.

MPD police are awaiting the results of the excessive force investigation following the shooting of Tommy and Tahmon Wilson.

Dmario Nashaun Person, 21, of Henderson is charged with murder, two counts of robbery with a dangerous weapon and two counts of felony conspiracy in the March 2 death of Ottoniel Lopez-Diaz, 48, of Durham, according to his arrest warrant.

DALLAS — A suspect was arrested in connection to a fatal shooting in southern Dallas, police said. The Dallas Police Department (DPD) said officers responded to a shooting call at approximately 7:50 a.m. Saturday in the 1500 block of Owega Avenue. When officers got to the scene, they found a person had been shot.
